Renaissance donated the CMF website to assist the financially challenged museum and to help bring it into the digital age. Nearly 1,600 hours were contributed over a six month period to plan, develop and construct the website.
Initially launched with 560 pages, the website provides information about the museums magnificent collection of restored aircraft, an online art gallery, a large giftshop section, a history section and many more areas of interest to aviation enthusiasts and members of the museum.
Following it's launch the site was an immediate success attracting several thousands of visitors from around the world. The site has been presented with more than 30 Internet awards including Netscape's Best of New Arts & Leisure award and Yahooligans! Cool Site of the Day.
Many purchases in the Museum's Gift Shop have been attributed as a direct result of the website with purchases from as distant away as the United Kingdom.
The website is currently maintained by Canadian Museum of Flight volunteers.
